Abstract

We report the case of a patient with Ebstein Anomaly, submitted to heterotopic cardiac transplantation after a failed surgical correction. Despite the initial clinical improvement, the patient remained dyspneic due to systolic dyssynchronism between the hearts, generated by atrial flutter of the native heart. After flutter cardioversion, the
electrocardiogram already presented systolic synchronism between both hearts. There was a significant clinical and echocardiographic improvement of the native heart. The heart rate reduction of the native heart after flutter reversal led to hemodynamic improvements, characterizing it as being secondary to tachycardia..
