Idiopathic ventricular tachycardia in patient with noncompacted myocardium

We report the case of a 23-year-old male patient with noncompacted myocardium and sustained monomorphic ventricular tachycardia. The patient was submitted to implantable cardioverter defibrillator after diagnosis confirmed by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and was kept on clinical treatment with antiarrhythmic medication
without the recurrence of ventricular arrhythmia in the outpatient follow-up.
